1. Information We Collect. We collect information provided during your expression of interest and registration (such as name, email, and organization details). We also collect data you add to your participant profile (role, bio, sectors, interests, intent). For capability verification (Layer B), we collect eligibility evidence (e.g., accreditation details). Additionally, we capture platform interactions, such as connection requests, direct messages, bilateral meeting schedules, and expressions of interest in projects. We maintain compliance audit logs, recording timestamps and IP addresses for actions like disclaimer acceptances and verification approvals.
2. How We Use Your Data. Your data is processed strictly for platform and event administration. This includes facilitating delegate matchmaking and networking, verifying organizational capabilities for restricted access areas, moderating content, maintaining legally required audit logs, and generating anonymized reporting on platform outcomes (e.g., number of introductions made or commitments generated).
3. Data Sharing and Visibility. Your participant profile is visible to other approved delegates in the user directory, subject to your chosen visibility settings (which allow you to limit exposure). Connection requests and direct messages are private to the involved parties. If you "express interest" in a project, your contact information is shared with the project owner and UNGCNSL admins to facilitate an off-platform introduction. We do not sell, rent, or monetize participant data to third parties.
4. Data Security and Retention. We implement robust security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access or alteration. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, support post-event reporting, and comply with our administrative and legal obligations.
